At the heart of the community

Chantry Methodist Church is located in the heart of the Chantry estate within the town of Ipswich in the county of Suffolk. It lies to the south of the town. Map and directions are at the bottom of the page (or here).

We have a Facebook page where you can keep up-to-date with the latest news.

We are a small, friendly church with a Sunday worship service at 9.30 a.m. and occasionally at 10 a.m. Dress is casual. Most weeks the music words are projected onto a screen. We have some gifted musicians that accompany the congregation on our electronic organ and piano; there is also a band, made up from among our members, that play for some of the services.

We have online sermon and a printed service that is hosted on our circuit website, so head on over there to find it. (A circuit is a group of geographically close Methodist churches, in our case Ipswich and surrounds). The sermon is posted on Sunday mornings at 6 a.m. but you can watch it at any time. There is also a 10-minute Bite Sized Church video service published on Wednesdays at 6 a.m.

We have a coffee morning on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. with drinks and cakes. Do drop in – we’d love to meet you! Find out more on our Ministries page.
